Text Book: The textbook for this course is The Human Brain by John Nolte (available in the Coffman Union Bookstore). The reading assignments from the Nolte text can be used to compliment lecture material.

Course Description: The objective of this course is to provide you with a basic understanding of the structure and function of the human nervous system.  Lectures and reading assignments when possible will emphasize topics pertinent to dentistry.

 Exams:  Evaluation of your performance will be based on four 50-minute multiple choice examinations; exams will cover subject material from lectures that precede each exam period.  Grading: mean of top 10% or higher = A (>90%); B (80-90%); C (70-80%); etc.
