Course Description

Time:  Monday, Aug 11 through Friday, Aug 15  (8:00am - 5:30pm)

Course Description:  Current topics in biomedical neuroscience, accompanied by supporting, fundamental concepts. This intensive, one week course includes lectures, discussion, laboratory demonstrations, and laboratory anatomy of the human central nervous system.

Students for Whom Course is Intended: The course is especially appropriate for members of the biomedical community and other students with advanced, but diverse, scientific background and perspective. If you are interested in taking this course, or have any questions, please contact the course director or administrator listed above.

Cost of the Course for NonStudents: There are two options. If you do not wish to receive graduate credit, the cost is $1,500. If you are not currently enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Minnesota, you may register as a non-degree student to receive graduate credit. The resident tuition in 2006 is $886.90, and the course fee is $1500. The full amount for tuition, U of M fees, and the course fee will be assessed by the Bursar upon submission of the registration form. Breakfast and lunch, as well as all course materials and laboratory supplies, will be provided as part of the course.

Cost of the Course for Part-Time Graduate Students: If you are currently accepted into a graduate program at the University of Minnesota, and are registered for Spring 2008, the cost of the course is 2 credits of University graduate tuition/fees and a $1000 course fee. The full amount for tuition, U of M fees, and the course fee will be assessed by the Bursar upon submission of the registration form. Breakfast and lunch, as well as all course materials and laboratory supplies, will be provided as part of the course.

Cost of the Course for Full-Time Graduate Students: If you are currently accepted into a graduate program at the University of Minnesota, and are registered for Spring 2008, the cost of the course is 2 credits of University graduate tuition/fees and a $750 course fee. The full amount for tuition, U of M fees, and the course fee will be assessed by the Bursar upon submission of the registration form. Breakfast and lunch, as well as all course materials and laboratory supplies, will be provided as part of the course.

Cost of the Course for University of Minnesota Faculty: If you are currently a faculty member of the University of Minnesots, the cost of the course includes University tuition/fees and a $200 course fee. The full amount for tuition, U of M fees, and the course fee will be assessed by the Bursar upon submission of the registration form. Breakfast and lunch, as well as all course materials and laboratory supplies, will be provided as part of the course.
